What is Astrology
If I were to examine my chart today, on this Sagittarius full moon, I would initially think, "Wow, Jupiter is conjunct the north node on your moon, with the sun conjunct your MC. Get out and about and live it up! You may meet the love of your life." However, the reality is that I'm stuck at home with an injured foot and cannot leave the house without crutches and experiencing some pain. So, if an astrologer were to give that reading to a client in my position, would they be wrong? Or is it that astrology is not just one thing? Too often, you find pop astrologers focusing on a single aspect, categorizing it as either good or bad, and relating it to career, love, or money, leaving you disappointed. Furthermore, sun sign pop astrology does not consider your entire chart, rendering it simplistic.
This is why astrology has a bad reputation. Pop astrology is fun and entertaining, but it often lacks any semblance of truth. What is often not mentioned is that even kings, queens, and modern-day royalty still use astrology. With adequate training and practice, you can observe its influence. Large corporations, banks, and governments take action at specific times when the desired outcome aligns with the planets and the sky. Although constellations represent the 12 zodiac signs, astrology primarily relies on the vibrations emitted by the planets and how they interact with an individual's chart. It's important to note that a chart can be analyzed for any given point in time. Countries, missing items, and even pets can have charts.
Through the comparison of these charts, and with the guidance of a proficient astrologer, we can explore the gifts a client received when they incarnated on this earth (or replace it with your belief regarding reincarnation). Once you understand these gifts, we can then examine the transits of your life and decipher the lessons the universe has in store for you.
There is no inherent good or bad. I often hear clients say, "I'm a Gemini, and I've heard people say that's bad." Well, yes, Geminis are terrible—just kidding! In reality, there are always two sides to the coin. It's up to you to choose whether to embrace and exhibit the positive aspects of Gemini or to focus on the negative aspects. The same applies to Mars placements, rising signs, and moon signs. Jupiter can be your best friend in your 7th house or your worst enemy—it's your choice.
That's why living within the cycles of our lives is so important. Understanding that there is no darkness without light and no light without darkness. The easy times don't hold as much value if life only consists of ease. It's the contrast of challenging times that allows us to appreciate the joyful moments more.
