Mars, Not always the bad guy

As someone with mars in Aries in my 8th house, I can see why mars get’s a bad rap. It can certainly cause afflictions in the house it is located in , in th natal chart. However, once I accept that my mars was a beast I was able to make friends with it’s energies. .

If anyone has watched Naruto, mars is like our own inner Korima. A little beast inside us that won’t ket us die but can cause massive destruction if we let it take us over fully. It is not until we become friends with our natal mars that we can tap into it’ power.

Mars is at it’s happiest when it is in the sights of Aries or Scorpio because it is their ruler. It is also in it’ true warrior state when it is in a fire sign like Leo, Sagittarius or Aries. Traditionally, it is also the ruler of the 8th house (first house as well but we’ll leave that for now)

That means Mars is not feeling so hot when it is in the opposite signs of Taurus and Libra. The folks with natal mars in taurus or mars in libra may be a little unmotivated or unsure when it comes time to make decisions in life. Knowing what sign and what house your mars is in is important in understanding how to tame the beast and get the most out of the drive and ambition that mars has to offer.
